    Roman Hippodrome: The Hippodrome is anancient Greek stadium designed for horse racing and especially chariot racing.Its Roman counterpart was called a circus and best represented, one bestheritage from the Roman Empire:
    What To See At The Hippodrome? The Hippodrome itself isa large green open-air park and there are 3 important monuments in its centralarea to see:
    1. The Egyptian Obelisk: Built-in the 16th centuryBC by the Pharaoh Tutmosis in Egypt. It was brought to Istanbul by boat in the4th century AD.
    2. The Serpentine’s Column: Originally erected in theTemple of Delphi in Greece, but taken to Istanbul. Until the 17th century,three bronze snakeheads were projecting from the column, but they have sincebeen lost. One can be seen in the archaeological museum.
    3. The Column of Constantine: Although it is believedthat this dates from the 10th century, evidence shows that it was built earlierthan that. Until 1204, it was covered by bronze and silver. When the Crusaderscame to the area, they pulled off the bronze and silver, melted them down, andmade coins out of them.
    Blue Mosque: The Blue Mosque inIstanbul, also known by its official name, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, is anOttoman-era historical imperial mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. It wasconstructed between 1609 and 1617 during the rule of Ahmed I and remains afunctioning mosque today.
    Hagia Sophia Museum: Hagia Sophia is animportant Byzantine structure in Istanbul and one of the world’s greatmonuments. It was built as a Christian church in the 6th century CE (532–537)under the direction of the Byzantine emperor Justinian I. In subsequentcenturies it became a mosque, a museum, and a mosque again...     Pigeon Valley: Pigeon Valley: ThePigeon Valley, stretching from Uçhisar to Göreme and covering an area of 4kilometers, takes its name from the pigeon nests carved into the rocks. Untilthe 9th century, the local people raised these pigeons, using their droppingsin vineyards and their eggs in the plaster of frescoes. If you want to see boththe pigeon nests and the unique vegetation offered by nature, you shouldn'tleave without walking through this valley. There is also a waterfall cascadingfrom a height of 15 meters in the valley.
